It would be nice to be able to filter the albums already in our collection in the advanced search, as Rate Your Music does.

I don't like blurbs, and I'd prefer to have them deleted.  Why bother to write at all, if you're just going to blurt a couple of sentences?

Samkelo "Samthing Soweto" Mdolomba is a South African artist of great talent who has published two albums plus EP and singles. He has been on top of South African charts with high quality music and has won several awards.

How difficult would it be to develop webpages for record labels that would be similar to the genre webpages with a small history provided of said record label and access to a list of all albums they’ve released that can be sorted by rating? I’d gladly settle for the sortable album/record label list. 

I liked a similar "problem" but that was reported a year ago and this is a new problem for me... Reading any page is interrupted when a new ad is loaded at the bottom of the page. When this happens you have to scroll back up to where your were reading. Until it happens again. I was reading the review of The Who's super duper deluxe edition of "...Sell Out". It has SIX discs, so every time the page jumped I had to scroll up past the track listings for ALL SIX DISCS!!! This is miserable and not an issue

Some styles don't have any overview, so its stylistic definition is left for me to guess.  For example, "drone" style is represented by a single artist and tagged on three albums (none by him).

Almost all the groups under https://www.allmusic.com/genre/international-ma0000002660 have the word "Traditions" in their name (except of African, Jewish and Celtic/British Isles for some reason). Does it only mean to be a category of traditional music, the kind that Wikipedia or RateYourMusic refers to as folk music (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Folk_music_by_country) or traditional folk (https://rateyourmusic.com/genre/traditional-folk-music/). Or is it just a conventional word, denoting only an origin from a particular culture/region, which can refer to both traditional music and popular music in that region? I.e. it's essentially superfluous and could be replaced by the word "music". If the latter is correct, don't you think this use

it would be really nice if there was an audio player embedded on each page so I can listen to a preview of each artist. It can be time consuming to go through each album page or look the artist up online on another site and then preview. It would be nice if an embedded player into each page gave a preview of at least a couple of songs from the record posted.

Is there currently an ongoing issue with the Advanced Search engine?

Several recent reviews don't seem to be showing up on it. For example: Arca's Kick quadrology or a selection of hip hop releases such as Haram, Pray for Haiti or Half God.

In addition, many of the reviews uploaded in the last few months still aren't lining up with the 'AllMusic Rating' column, when it's selected. Take a look at the picture attached - Montero was released, reviewed and rated in September but it's still treated as being unrated by the search engine.

Frequently it just crashes. Invariably in crashes when reading your articles.

Is Synth-pop also pop music? 

Most music companies like Billboard include all of Synth-pop music into pop chart. I have never see any chart site categorized synth-pop as new wave.

I've used and subscribed to Allmusic for many years and have read, agreed, disagreed, recommended this site to others, and learned so much. I have wide, eclectic tastes that the site usually covers, but, the progressive bluegrass coverage is barely minimal. The most recent and major example is Billy Strings. Not a single bit of music has been reviewed, induing the new album that dropped yesterday, 9/24/21. This young man is a major talent and is pushing genres and boundries hard and is going to be a major, major player.

The Spotify biography for DMX has not been updated in a long time. This rapper died in April 2021, but it's not mentioned in his Spotify bio.

For an artist who has several 4-star albums, Stomu Yamashta deserves more than a single-sentence bio.  I know that I can read album reviews, but a full biography would have a career overview that helps a newbie understand which album that I'm more likely to prefer.  An album pick would also be a nice tip to decide among his highest rated albums.

As the artist pages stand right now, I see little point in even having the biography tab when the biography is already taking up most of the page real estate to begin with. The short taglines were earnestly my favorite feature of the site - the ability to quickly learn what an artist is about without having to read the full bio was EXTREMELY valuable to me, and in building my own personal library I often added the short bio taglines as "comments" in the metadata of my MP3s, and wrote my own when none were to be found. Please add record label as a field in Advanced Search. For most record labels, browsing returns too many results without filtering capability.  For example, Cleopatra has been credited as a record label on thousands of albums. (About a quarter of its albums are tributes, and many have an interesting twist because they're recorded in a musical style different from the tributee's style.)
