Many of these are from the dawn of the All Music Guide when the editorial staff was scrambling to have some level of coverage of every artist they wanted to feature in the book (circa 1992...30 years ago!). The vast majority of these have been replaced and updated, but we still stumble across one that lingers.

We still feel that some level of description of an artist is better than having none at all. The brief blurb that is there still gives some idea of what the artist is about.

Single-sentence tagline about a pretty new band.

It looks like in this instance we're just receiving the Headline Bio but not the full Bio.

As you can see in your earlier example, the brief bio is appearing at the top of the page and on the biography tab.

In the Western Centuries example, the Headline bio is showing at the top but there is nothing in the Biography tab itself.
