great coverage of underrepresented voices
Since discovering a monumental boxset decades ago, I've been keeping an ear out for underrepresented voices in country music. While not the only voice that has been historically underrepresented, finally black country artists are breaking through to a wider audience thanks to renewed attention. The renewed attention came fortuitously because a supportive community has already been coalescing around emerging black artists, as documented by a recent documentary.
I'm not counted among fans of that community yet. But I do give them a chance, because their music doesn't sound like commercial radio. After sampling a track though, very few have impressed me

Indispensable
I have been using AllMusic for a lot of years - must be 20+ years. It is such a valuable resource for those of us who have a "slight" music addiction. Just want to say a huge well done to the team behind AllMusic. I have recently not had access to AllMusic for two months and it made me fully aware how much I rely on it/need it. I personally would be happy to pay more for my subscription than I am currently paying. And a shout out to Michael Erlewine of course! BNtw I remember all those years ago (in

updated biographies
I've been finding fewer out-of-date bios. I'm also happy with the compromise to insert editorial blurbs about albums into a bio, rather than on an album page. For example, Shannon McNally's bio briefly mentions that "Small Town Talk (Songs of Bobby Charles) proved to be another career highlight".

Thank you SO much for calling them your "FAVORITE" records. No kidding!
When I see "Our Favorite Albums," I'm instantly interested in seeing what you liked most --- whereas when quote-unquote Critics proclaim "The BEST Records," all I can think is, "Who the hell are you to say?"
Definitely recommend upholding that tradition forever!

reviewing reissues
Recently, I discovered a couple reviews of reissues that were overlooked by editors upon initial release. Occasionally, an editor would also fully review a reissue (instead of appending a couple of sentences to the initial release's review). These retrospective reviews aren't read by as many users as those reviewing new releases.
As lamented in reviewing a digital reissue: "Between major-label mergers and the fact that it just says 'Largo' on the cover, this flat-out masterpiece was lost in the shuffle and almost no one heard it." If a tree falls in the forest and no one heard it, did it

Hi AllMusic
after just reading tj's high praise for meredith d'ambrosio and her album by myself, I copied+sent the text to her, a dear friend. She already wrote back thanking me warmly and asked if I knew how to contact him so she can send him her appreciation. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you!
Just wanted to say thankyou as I've been using All Music for years and years to look up producers, mixers and engineers using the Credits feature and it is invaluable to me. I only just realised there is a paid subscription, very happy to do that. I really appreciate the paid subscription isn't shoved down the throats of users unlike so many other sites, but I am surprised I didn't know about it at all after using it so long! Anyway, thanks for providing a great service! I get a lot of enjoyment out of discovering who has worked on
