Reviews written in full, but still missing rating (3)

Robert Woods · 3 · Last reply by rootsmusic

Got some unrated reviews I've found. (And most of all are rap albums again.) It might be very long as the previous, but could you fix those for full version? - Potluck - Pipe Dreams - UGK - Side Hustles - Wale - Folarin II - City Morgue - City Morgue, Vol. 2: As Good as Dead - G-Unit - The Beast Is G Unit - Blaze Ya Dead Homie - Clockwork Gray - Anuel AA - Real Hasta la Muerte - Killah Priest - Exorcist - Tech N9ne - Everready - Tech N9ne - Misery Loves Kompany - Tech N9ne - Killer - Stevie Stone - 2 Birds, 1 Stone

    Cave In Discography

Matski · 1 · Last reply by Matski

I recently enjoyed reading James Christopher Monger's review on Cave In's new record - Heavy Pendulum. AllMusic haven't always reviewed the band's records upon release, so it was a fantastic surprise to see one uploaded for it.

However, what was a bit of a letdown was the state of the band's discography. There are currently some errors with it - too many to enter in the 'Submit Corrections' form. I was hoping I could submit the list of corrections here instead. Here are the issues I have spotted:

    1. According to the band's websites, Beyond Hypothermia was not first released in

    Bill Callahan - Ytilaer

Matski · 2 · Last reply by Matski

Do you know if there is a review for Ytilaer by Bill Callahan on the way? While it was released digitally a few weeks ago, the vinyl release isn't set until next year so the review may be set for a later date.

EDIT: I'd also be interested to know if Tim Sendra plans to review Laminated Denim by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. It's been interesting watching him blaze through their prolific discography over the past few years. However, this new album seemed to have missed AllMusic's notifications, up until a couple of days ago. Glad to see

    album thumbnail

rootsmusic · 1 · Last reply by Zac

In the album discography, I Wonder Do You Think of Me doesn't show an image thumbnail.  But why does the thumbnail display in the scrolling discography browser (below the large image)?

in his compilation discography, The Best of Keith Whitley doesn't show an image thumbnail.  But why does the thumbnail display for its releases?

    API Access / Soundiiz

    SpotifyThrowbacks · 0 · Posted

    Hi,

I use a website called "Soundiiz" to migrate/convert playlists between streaming services. I was told that you don't have an API available that would allow Soundiiz to add you to their list of playlist/album resources. I STRONGLY suggest that you consider offering an API, as in the age of streaming, it's all about playlists. And since you offer album recommendations, Soundiiz would be a great companion. PLEASE consider offering this, so that Soundiiz users can easily incorporate our saved albums here to Soundiiz.  https://soundiiz.com/

    Thanks

    Spotify Links

SpotifyThrowbacks · 2 · Last reply by Zac

Why do you offer so little Spotify links? Spotify is the most used. No one thinks about Amazon music, their collection nowhere near matches Spotify. Are you trying to force your users to purchase an Amazon music subscription? Is that it?

There is an artist with the same name as mine appearing in my artist column

Kevin Purdy · 4 · Last reply by Kevin Purdy

A female artist from the UK also has the Artist name Purdy.

I have been releasing work as Purdy since 1997 here in Australia. My first official release was on a Creative Vibes compilation and have since released six albums and many compilation tracks and remixes. You can see my work here: http://soft-records.blogspot.com/ https://purdy.bandcamp.com/album/in-transit

The UK artist Purdy, started releasing work more recently.

I don't care if she uses the same name, it's just that her releases commonly show up on what should be my releases page.

Is there some way the two artists can have their own releases page

I have an incorrect listing in my credits and am missing a dvd I was the audio producer and surround mixer on. Joel Jaffe

    J Jaffe · 1 · Last reply by Zac

The credit on the Bonnie Raitt album Just like that.

I was the audio engineer for vocal overdubs. Can this be corrected,

I also was the surround mixer and audio post producer on Ringo Starr's All Star band DVD

and I don't see the listing in my credits list.

    Liturgy Discography

Matski · 1 · Last reply by Matski

Really enjoyed Thom Jurek's recent review of Liturgy's new record, 93696. However, I was left slightly bemused by some of the entries in the act's discography. It seems that a couple of different acts also using the 'Liturgy' name have been merged into their discography:

    1. 'Associated Arts' was actually a one-off record, recorded by a group of musicians, which included Sean Bendickson and Zach Varnell. It was produced by Hilltop Health Ministries. I couldn't find any official website for them, possibly because it was release twenty years ago. Amazon has a statement from  Hilltop Health Ministries' Executive Director Elliot Stockstad, regarding

Oooh La La! - a delightful album by the Crash Test Dummies

In his review of Crash Test Dummies' album "Oooh La La!" (2010), Stephen Thomas Erlewine complains about the Dummies being "constitutionally incapable of playing things straight", saying that Brad Roberts "has an annoying tendency to sound like he's barely suppressing his smirk as he sings, laughing at his own jokes like a hack comedian", and adding "by sounding so delighted with his own cleverness, he undermines the whole shebang". I don't know how well Mr. Erlewine knows Crash Test Dummies, but I think that this is basically just Brad Roberts being himself. It's just part of his personality and the

    Artist Profile Listing Service?

LJ · 1 · Last reply by Zac

Is there a place you can upload your artist information once and it updates across all artist profiles from one place? (apple music, sportify, amazon, google, deezer, Allmusic) kind of like a yext for businesses or hubspot for social brands.

Why is the band Orgy erased from Allmusic

Joe Boli · 2 · Last reply by Joe Boli

You cant find them under an Orgy search, blue monday search, jay gordon search, and Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh only come up with their band Julien-K and no mention of Orgy in the former band section. Kinda odd.

One Last Album Review Request for the Year

Matski · 4 · Last reply by Matski

With only a few weeks to go before AllMusic likely releases their article regarding their favourite albums of the year, I've gathered another small list of forgotten pretenders to put forward, with consideration for a last minute review. Though the previous request didn't find any takers (feel free to check them out too) hopefully this one has a few names that will gain interest. All the albums suggested reviewed well elsewhere, gained a healthy number of user ratings and have even received at least a couple of user reviews:

    • Allison Russell - The Returner
    • Model/Actriz - Dogsbody
    • Róisín Murphy -

    2024 Album Reviews Request

Opening this new question for people to request notable albums released this year that they feel merit a review, just to help AllMusic keep track - the final decision will of course be up the editors, whom I'd like to thank in advance for their generally excellent reviews and much-appreciated efforts to keep up!

Linking to an artist page on allmusic.com using just the artist name

Bob Schermerhorn · 1 · Last reply by Zac

    I am writing from interpunk.com.

Is there a way to link to the primary artist page on allmusic.com with a link that involves just the artist name?

For example, let's say I want to link to the Teenage Bottlerocket page. It would be great if I could use this link [with spaces in the artist name replaced with dashes '-']:

    https://www.allmusic.com/artist/teenage-bottlerocket

…but instead of displaying an error page like it does currently, it would be ideal if it would automatically correct the URL of the actual Teenage Bottlerocket page on allmusic.com, which is:

    https://www.allmusic.com/artist/teenage-bottlerocket-mn0000666623

Thank you in advanced for creating
