Missing Entries Request Thread

Can we use this forum as a place to request new discography entries? I've noticed a handful of recent albums that seem to have missed AllMusic's radar. It may be because they haven't been physical released yet though they have all been made available digitally. Users who have already had a chance to listen to these albums may also appreciate being able to rate them. Here are the missing albums:

Boris - 'No' [Sources - Official Site | Bandcamp]
Chloe x Halle - 'Ungodly Hour' [Sources - Official Store | Soundcloud]
Nicolas Jaar - 'Telas' [Sources - Official Site | Bandcamp]
Owen Pallett - 'Island' [Sources - Official Label | Bandcamp]
R.A.P. Ferreira* – 'Purple Moonlight Pages' [Sources - Official Store | Bandcamp]

*R.A.P. Ferreira is the new moniker of Rory Ferreira. He has previously released music under the aliases Milo and Scallops Hotel. If a new profile is created then it would be helpful to link them all.

Can we get an entry for the new A.G. Cook album? It's called Britpop. You can find details on the official site and bandcamp. Thanks.

Whitewaits - An Elegant Exit (2013)

Robert Rowe of Cause & Effect Bio (on AllMusic)

It's on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon music ...  absent on AllMusic.

Please create a studio album entry for the new Bettye LaVette record - 'LaVette!'. It was released on June 16th via Jay-Vee Records. You can find further details on her website.

Hi,

Can you add the new Colin Stetson record, When We Were That What Wept for the Sea to AllMusic?

His official webstore says the physical edition is not available until this November (here) but you can already download it on his Bandcamp (here) and other streaming services.

Surprised this one hasn't been given an entry yet. It has a release date of November 15th, according to his site. Perhaps that's considered too far in the future to add it.

Please can you add an entry for the new album by Avalon Emerson - "& the Charm"

While she may be a bit of an unknown name, AllMusic has already setup an artist profile for her and reviewed her only long-player so far - an entry in the DJ Kicks series.

You can find some details about her new album on her homepage (here) and her bandcamp (here). Thanks!

This one is a bit different from usual. It's also related to a request from a couple of months ago. Today, Nas has finally released the CD version of King's Disease III, with the vinyl release planned for the end of April. Here are links to his official store:

Could you please add these to the 'releases' section, within the album's entry? Hopefully the news of these physical releases might prompt an editor to give it a write-up.

The editors do plan to review this album for the physical release.

I'm imagining the releases will fill in through the normal data acquisition channels.

Good to know. While your team is usually very good at picking up on physical releases, I wasn't sure if this one had slipped through their net. Thanks.

Another new year, another new request for your team. Here a few albums that seem to currently be missing from AllMusic's website. Hopefully these acts are established enough to be worth looking into:

Benjamin Clementine - All I Have Been [source - official home site]
Mitski - Retired from Sad, New Career in Business [source - official bandcamp]
Special Interest - The Passion Of [source - official bandcamp]

Can we get an entry for the new Nas album - 'King's Disease III'? That's right, yet another sudden release in this series. It's also worth checking out, if your reviewers are interested.

Here's another release to add. Could you create an entry for 'Too Late for Edelweiss' by The Tallest Man On Earth? This one was only announced a few days ago so it wouldn't be too surprising if you are aware of it but haven't gotten around to adding it yet. Just in case...

Seeming as this old thread has been raised from the dead, I may as well also mention the new self-titled album by The Mars Volta, which was released today. It's really surprising you haven't received news of it yet. You'll be able to find details on their website. Could you create an album entry for it?

We'll ask for this to be added.

Good to hear. Thanks.

Please can you add an album entry for Phoebe Green's new album, Lucky Me.

Here are some sources:

Please can you add the following two releases to your database?:

Thanks in advance!

Got another new album I'd like to request be added to your database. Could you please raise an entry for Skee Mask's new album 'Pool'? Thanks. Sources: [Official Site] [Official Shop] [Bandcamp]

Could you also add the new album by H.E.R. - 'Back of My Mind' to your database too? [source - RCA]

Heya Zac & the rest of the team,

Could you add an entry to Iglooghost's discography for his recent album - 'Lei Line Eon'? According to his official store, a vinyl version was released on April 2nd, 2021 [source]. Though other online stores, such as Boomkat are stating that they didn't receive it in stock until June 2nd, 2021 [source].

Can I also request that 'Treetunnels' is moved to a Singles/EPs section of Iglooghost's discography? There's no entry for it on his official store but it's generally considered and EP by various sources. [source]

please add these albums to Savage Suns profile below:

All Music's Kendrick Lamar discography is incomplete. His first album was made in 2010 and is called Overly Dedicated.

The data team does sometimes miss new releases if they are self-released or not available in physical form. They rely heavily on the distributors to send them info on upcoming albums and when artists independently release albums, there isn't really a process of combing the internet looking for new stuff.

I can pass these along.

Would the data team require verification from (a represetitive of) the artist? I take it they can't just go off the sources provided.

By accepting physical (and some digital) entries from major (and larger indie) distributors through known channels, it allows them to add information directly from the source in a way that is faster and more streamlined than hunting around though Bandcamp and other individual sources.

I really wish that the data entry team was overstaffed and had the freedom to track down cool indie releases and do full entry on them, but their workload is heavy and they usually end up prioritizing the stuff that comes in via normal channels. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for your explanation. Will try to keep that all in mind if I submit any new entries

A few of the acts I've suggested are quite well established but their choice to release their new albums independently has probably made it more difficult for the data team to notice them. I expect that those acts will release their albums in more traditional formats some time in the near future, so your data team will get those details eventually.
