I've been finding fewer out-of-date bios. I'm also happy with the compromise to insert editorial blurbs about albums into a bio, rather than on an album page. For example, Shannon McNally's bio briefly mentions that "Small Town Talk (Songs of Bobby Charles) proved to be another career highlight".

I'm reading bios more often, even about artists with whom I'm already familiar. Their bios are more likely to mention independently-released albums, which their discographies tend to omit.
Blondie Chaplin's bio had ended in 1998, but he released an album in 2006.
