Song credits for musicians other than singer (or featured performer) and composer

I came to this site because I wanted to see who played what instruments on a song ("Ride Your Pony" performed/sung by Lee Dorsey, written by Allen Toussaint, aka Naomi Neville). Unfortunately no one other than the composer and singer was mentioned. I'm sure that some of this information is hard or impossible to determine for certain songs, but certainly you could do better than this, no?

You are correct that a lot of this info is hard to come by, due to the incompleteness of liner notes in many cases.

In the past, this was not of interest to our audience but we're seeing more and more requests for this so we're working on a way to solve it as best as we can.
