Not Ad-Free

I have paid for a subscription to AllMusic but am still getting ads. Please tell me why I am not getting the "Ad-Free Experience" and how to fix this.

All of a sudden getting ads. Says I don't have a subscription? I didn't set to auto renew? I didn't receive any emails about it.

Hi Mark. We do not offer an auto-renew option.

We display on on-screen reminder message two weeks before your subscription expires, and then another message after your subscription has expired, so you should have received at least one of these alerts.

You should be able to see your subscription status at this page: https://www.allmusic.com/user/paid-subscription

Thanks for your support.

My paid subscription is filled with ads again. I'm not sure why this seems to happen fairly regularly. I've had a good run of about 4 months with no issues, but it's back again today.

Today, I don't even know how to report a problem nor ask a question.  When I click on the tabs, I'm only allowed to do searches.

Hi Brian,

From our records, it looks like your subscription was renewed on October 31, 2020 (which means it would have expired on November 1st of this year).

It looks like you re-renewed your subscription about 40 minutes ago.
Are you still having issues?

Hi, thank you for your quick response.  You are bang on.  I'm not sure why, but I didn't get an update this year that my subscription would expire.  Did Allmusic stop sending out renewal updates?

Thanks Zac.  I didn't notice the reminders, but that doesn't mean they didn't show up.  I've learned that, if I check my payment status, it will show if I've paid.  I was worried that I had double paid, but I think there isn't an option to do that.  Once I paid, the subscription status showed that I had paid.

Thank you for your help.

Your AllMusic Paid account will expire on April 6, 2022, cashe cleaned - ads still appear.

Hi David,

Sorry this is happening to you.
We do see you in our system as having paid, and you should not be seeing ads.

We've recently been making some improvements to the back end of AllMusic to try to get pages to run faster.
This involves more caching of pages users have already visited.

Are you seeing ads on every page?
Or are you seeing ads on pages that you may have previously visited before you logged in?

If you are seeing ads on previously visited pages, please try doing a Hard Refresh of the page:

Also: When you log in, do you click the "Remember Me" checkbox?
That should keep you logged in.

A couple of other things to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Are you seeing ads while logged in and visiting a page you've never been to before?

2. Do you get ads if you are logged in and add a "?test" to the end of the URL and hit enter?
Or follow this link: https://www.allmusic.com?test

3. Do you get ads if you log in on a different browser?

Some other tips are available here:

Please let us know if this helps, or if you are still having issues.

So glad you were able to figure it out!

Hi Zac,
My apologies.  We have a paid subscription through a different email address.  I just tried it and it's great: no ads!  Happy to support AllMusic.
Many thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill.
I looked into our user subscription database and I don't see a Bill McClelland or William McClelland in the system, but I'm not 100% sure what name you may have used when you paid.

Did you receive an email with the subject line "AllMusic Subscription Order Confirmation"?

Can you visit this page and let us know what it says? https://www.allmusic.com/user/paid-subscription

P.S. to Not Ad-Free

I have cleared the cache and am basically starting from scratch, but this has done nothing.  It is almost impossible to use your site with the way you have the ads.
