I have a paid subscription yet am still being bombarded with ads. The site is no longer usable. How do I get a refund for the remainder of my subscription?

Paying customer drowning in ads on sidereel! Clearing cache restarting etc etc etc not working and why do we have to login in this site when we are using sidereel…overly complicated

This is what I see on my iPad when pasting your text

Love the site, have for years and years, and I know that good, hard-working people are trying to make things better, but the new site design is a major step backwards in my view.

Clearing cache and cookies worked for me in several browsers.

I have cleared all my cookies and logged in, which removes ads. However, the next time I go back to the site, the ads have returned. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hey Matt,
When you return to the site, are you already logged in when you get there?

M

Yes, do you mean that I need to prevent cookies entirely moving forward and log in every time I come to the site?

No no. If you log in once with "Remember Me" checked, it should keep you logged in and you shouldn't be seeing ads (at least not seeing ads on pages you hadn't visited while logged out).

A couple of other things to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Are you seeing ads while logged in and visiting a page you've never been to before?

2. Do you get ads if you are logged in and add a "?test" to the end of the URL and hit enter?
Or follow this link: https://www.allmusic.com?test

3. Do you get ads if you log in on a different browser?

Sorry about this.
Hopefully we can get it solved for you.

You know, I didn't get ads on either page, and weirdly when I went back to the main page it is now no longer showing ads. So this seems to have resolved. Thanks!

That seems to have worked.  Thank you.  :)

As part of the site update we also updated the codebase, thus encryption methods changed.  Clearing cache and removing any old cookies might be best way to get everything back working properly (with no old cookies lingering to confuse and conflict with the new code).

If you are seeing ads on previously visited pages, clearing your cache should remove the ads.

This info is out of date (the link for Livewire.com instructions) Google has changed their settings and thus I cannot get to the page listed.

Looks like even Google has out-of-date information:

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=en-GB&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

Looks like you need to click the three dots in the upper right, then click on the "Hamburger Menu" (three horizontal lines in the upper left), to go to Settings > Privacy > Third Party Cookies

Or paste this into your browser's address bar: chrome://settings/content/all

Having the same issue.  Tech support is literally worthless.
