2026 Album Reviews Request

Opening this new question for people to request notable albums released this year that they feel merit a review, just to help AllMusic keep track - the final decision will of course be up the editors, whom I'd like to thank in advance for their generally excellent reviews and much-appreciated efforts to keep up!

I'd like to open this one with the new A$AP Rocky album, which came out on January 16 and has not been reviewed more than a week later. I also hope someone will still find a moment for Danny Brown's late-2025 album 'Stardust', since his earlier output always received glowing reviews.

The Danny Brown album has a physical release scheduled for February so look for a review then.

Thanks Zac, happy to read it's coming!

Since we're discussing rappers, I think AllMusic is really sleeping on people like Westside Gunn, Harry Fraud and Pink Siifu as well. Would be nice to see some coverage of their recent output. They're not very famous, but worth your attention.

Still waiting for the Danny Brown review. :)

Not gonna lie - I'd also be interested to know if a review for 'Stardust' is still in the works. Any news, Zac?

It would be sad if his winning streak had to end like this.

With any luck, you're not setting-up for disappointment by posting that image!

@AllMusic - top pick in selecting 'Atrocity Exhibition' for full five-star treatment. Betting most hip-hop heads would agree with that decision.

A review of Kanye's latest drop would perhaps also not be out of place. https://www.allmusic.com/album/bully-mw0004766842

So have you guys given up on the Danny project? Keep on watchin' out for it but it looks like it ain't happin'.

You guys may want to check that 'Stardust' link again...

The winning streak continues. :)

You should intervene more often, Oli. :))

Y'all kiddin'? Course it goes live as soon as I mention it's not gonna happen.

Gotta give to your writer tho. Nice one AllMusic! Whatcha got cookin' next?

Ye I hope. :)

Here's another hiphop release for us to whine about: https://www.allmusic.com/album/pompeii-utility-mw0004780951 :)

A review for 'Bully' is also now available.

Ye!

It's a shame that the mesmerizing Injury Reserve were so slept on. You guys have to review the follow-up act By Storms and their new project My Ghosts Go Ghost.

According to the website, it looks like the physical release of this album is scheduled for the end of April. If the editorial team do review the album, it will probably be around that date. Any fans should check in on its entry in a few month's time.

Come on 24th April! If you're right, it's gonna be worth the wait!

I hope someone will still find a moment for Robbie Williams' 'BRITPOP'.

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for Sault's 'Chapter 1'.

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for Annahstasia's 'Tether'. She'll be on the festival circuit this summer.

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for Ouri's 'Daisy Cutter'.

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for Charli XCX's 'Wuthering Heights' soundtrack.

C

100% back-up this request. I'm amazed that AllMusic hasn't put a review out for this album yet. Isn't Charli XCX a major player after her last release? Please review it!

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's 'We Are Together Again'. His previous one received a glowing review.

Seems a review for it was already in the works. Check that link again. ;)

Yay!

I hope someone will still find a moment for this new collaboration between two five-star artists, Actress and Suzanne Ciani.

Would be amped to read what your writers have to say about these new releases:

  1. Converge: Love Is Not Enough
  2. Johnny Blue Skies (Sturgill Simpson): Mutiny After Midnight
  3. Mandy Indiana: URGH!

The first two have received a lot of love from you guys in the past. All three have lots of feedback from your users and some great reviews elsewhere.

That Johnny Blue Skies album maybe a bit tricky to get a copy of as it's currently only available to order on record and is selling fast. If you're unable to get a copy, surely you'll get a chance to review it once its available digitally.

So what do you think? Can you find some time to review these albums?

T

Amen!

You're having a good week for requests, Oli. What sounded like the trickiest to review of those three just received one. Now I'm wondering if reviews for the other two are also in the works.

T

I hope someone will still find a moment for YEBBA's 'Jean'.

T

I'm quite surprised you haven't reviewed RAYE's 'This Music May Contain Hope' yet.

C

Have to agree with tv. It would be really great if AllMusic's editors could review this. It's easily one of the best pop albums of the year so far!

T

I hope Heather Phares will still find a moment for Oneohtrix Point Never / Daniel Lopatin's 'Marty Supreme' soundtrack.
