Collection Sort Feature Is Not Sorting Properly

Within Collection, any sort (oldest first, artist name, etc...) is correct on the first page, but does not carry over onto subsequent pages.

Hey Chad,

This is strange, we're not able to replicate it.

If I go to My Collection and sort by Oldest First, I start with Miles Davis in the '50s and go through The Beatles in the mid-'60s:

When I go to page 2, it keeps going with mid-'60s albums:

If I flip back to the first page, I get my Oldest First albums again as expected.

Are you still seeing this issue?

Are you seeing this on Desktop or on a Mobile device?

Please let us know.

CM
That's great - thank you!

The sort still doesn't seem to be working properly, though, from page to page. For example, if I choose oldest first ,everything on the first page is sorted by oldest first, but if I skip to the second page, the sort is showing newest to oldest on that page. And then if I go back to page 1 from page 2 that sort has changed from newest to oldest also.

Thank you,
Chad

We have recently enabled a "List View" for your collection.

You can toggle between a grid of large covers, or a list of metadata within your profile.

We were able to put this fix in place yesterday.

Please take a look at your collection and you should be able to sort by:

Artist Name
Album Title
Your Rating
Album Release Date

This is almost certainly true. Sorry about that.

We'll take a look at solving it, but it may take some back-end engineering work.
