errors after the site update

After today's site update, I am getting ads (I'm paid thru Oct 2024). I also can't login in safari- the login button is blocked by the search bar.  I'm using an older mac laptop.  Worked great until today.

Thanks!

I am using latest version of edge.

I have ads all over the place but I am logged in and a paid member.  This seems to happen sporadically.

Also, when I select something to show like compilations, it will not remember that selection and I have to select that every time I go back to that page.

Hi Mark,

Sorry about this.

As part of the site update we also updated the codebase, thus encryption methods changed.

Clearing cache and removing any old cookies might be best way to get everything back working properly (with no old cookies lingering to confuse and conflict with the new code).

If you are seeing ads on previously visited pages, clearing your cache should remove the ads.

Update- I installed Firefox, and it works, with no ads.

Awesome.

Thanks for the update and for supporting AllMusic.

Actually Chrome is not working out- there are ads.  My Chrome is up to date.  I can't use the site when it is covered in spam and multiple videos, etc.

The site worked great in both browsers until a couple days ago :(

Hi Zac,

Thanks for the quick response.
1.  Here is the URL:
(note that apple says my laptop is too old to be upgraded).

2.  I am indeed able to sign in using that link you sent.  But the site isn't usable.  The images are elongated, and when I click on a button on an artist's page, e.g. "discography", nothing happens.

I guess it's not the end of the world for me to use Chrome instead of Safari.  But in Chrome I'm still getting the ads for some reason, even after logging in.  So that would need to be resolved.

Thanks again!

Yeah, Support for High Sierra looks like it ended 2 years and 10 months ago
(01 Dec 2020).

There are so many different browsers and operating systems nowadays, we really can only try to make things backwards-compatible to the browsers that the companies are actively supporting.

I have an ancient iPad that barely limps along.

Hopefully Chrome works out for you.

Hi Hari,

I would ask a couple favors from you:

1. Can you go to this page and send us the URL it creates for you (next to the green button that says "Copy")

2. If you go to this page: https://www.allmusic.com/subscribe
Are you able to sign in?

Please let us know, we'd love to solve this for you and any other users that are having the same problem.
