silly influences

I am a big fan of your 'Influences' section, but I must say I am quite annoyed by how they are dealt with for quite a few more recent artists. To give just one example, Yungblud's influences list five artists, among which are Bob Dylan and The Beatles. Did he mention those in some or other interview? That's quite possible, and arguably, every musician today has been influenced by those artists. But when I Iook at this section, I expect to find artists that have actually, audibly influenced an artist. AllMusic used to be very good at this, and you still are. But Yungblud's page is far from the only recent one where the section is not quite accurate or interesting. MIght it be possible to do better at this?

Right. I consciously did not complain about The Clash and The Cure. But Dylan and The Beatles? My point is I'd appreciate editors to take these claims from artists with a few more grains of salt, and list the artists they feel have actually influenced an artist's sound, no matter what they are saying in interviews. I mean, if you'd ask anyone who hasn't read these interviews what they think were major influences on Yungblud's sound, no one would say Dylan or The Beatles. But I understand that may be a controversial point of view. :)
