This is a Mac Monterey and I had to close out of Firefox.  It looks like somebody designed this site to damage my browser and shut down my OS.  To get to this forum - and in the midst of researching an artist - despite not wanting to login, I had to reopen in Safari.  While in Firefox the popups in the lower left would not X out.  I do not know if you are running scripts; but my cursor turned into a fast-spinning pinwheel.  These are the only two browsers I have.  I switch between one or the other

When a "review" is unattributed, can I assume that it's written as just a descriptive blurb?  Generally, descriptive blurbs are descriptions that can be gleaned from the liner notes and press junkets.  They don't go into depth about any song, except maybe to mention one was a single.

However, the unattributed review for Mutual Admiration Society seems to be more than a descriptive blurb.  It opines about the songwriting and aesthetic style; comments on the album's "tone and atmosphere"; and concludes that the album is a "quiet, thoughtful collection".  It also doesn't contain any negative critique to justify a rating

Is this due to some hard-to-solve bug, or what is causing it, if I may ask? :)

When an artist's previous album was highly rated, it always sits a bit uneasy with me it the new one isn't even reviewed. So if you don't mind, I'll occasionally post an example of that here, in the hope it might still be remedied. Have the editorial team decided that they like both reviews of Animal Collective's Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished that they decided to keep them both? Kinda strange to have two entries for it. Was it done on purpose?

Also, there are two entries fo Spacemen 3's Dreamweapon (first entry and second entry) though I doubt that's intentional. Any chance of merging them?

At album-level, the soundtrack credits its first track's composer only to "Traditional".  But at song-level, two composers are added.

From Los Lobos' version, I discovered that the song was "also performed by" Lalo Guerrero in collaboration with the band.  When I click on their song collaboration though, it's instead linked to Los Lobos' own version.  The album that released their collaborative version wasn't listed among the albums where the band's own version appears on (the same song page on which I discovered the song was also performed by Lalo Guerrero in collaboration with the band).

I'm confused.

Ages ago the All Music website had a genre-selection control in the form of an interactive, 3D, ball of spikes. Is there some place I can still find an example of that?

(Since her latest version isn't reviewed yet, I'm revisiting the last version.)  The song entity "All Too Well" has two variations: a live acoustic version (9:31) and a 10-minute alternative take (10:13).  That alternative take is listed under the "appears on" tab too. That tab has the original song (2013) alongside the re-recording (2021), both clocking in with the same duration.

That tab includes a short film version (11:26), a studio live [Sad Girl Autumn] version (9:58), and a karaoke version (5:18).  So the "appears on" tab lists several versions, while the variations tab lists only two.  Thus, I'm confused how

I have been a regular visitor to your site for a while now and find the information very useful. What I don't understand is why Aretha Franklin has no regular album with a Blue A award. Do you hate soul music or just Aretha? I am aware she made some below par albums in the late 70s and early 80s but many of her Atlantic albums of the 60s are peerless.

Rival Sons have released 2 of the best rock albums this year and I find it shameful that there’s not one review by Allmusic. And we wonder why “rock is dead”. Get your crap together Allmusic! Both Darkfighter and Lightbringer, released this past Friday, are future classics and you guys are completely ignoring them. The opening track on Lightbringer is one of the most brilliantly composed songs I’ve heard in some time. So epic and beautiful. They should be as big, if not bigger than Greta Van Fleet and Maneskin. Rival Sons rocks! Give this band the respect they deserve!

Hey, thanks for your great site. Unfortunately with the redesign it's so much harder to use the site. Looking at an artist's discography, I can fit a max of 5 albums on my screen at once. Looking at an album, there is literally no way to see all the songs on the screen at one time. This lack of a bird's eye view really diminishes the experience of browsing. Is it possible to make things more compact, or have a compact mode? Thanks!
