add title filter to Advanced Search
Like the artist filter, please add a title filter to Advanced Search. If I can filter by title, then I can sort niche albums. For example, I want to sort the highest rated "unplugged" title or "tribute" titles.

I like cajun instruments, but I'm not fond of cajun vocalists due to my inability to understand French. So I wanted to discover cajun artists tributing tributees of other styles. I know this is complex search for my complex tastes.
P.S. I'm plugging my idea about data-entry to make it easier to discover tribute albums.
Hi JuthaDDA,
You can already do this on a Composition page: https://www.allmusic.com/composition/symphony-no-9-in-d-minor-choral-op-125-mc0002366840
This page lists all of the recordings in the database featuring Beethoven's 9th Symphony, then by clicking on the column for AllMusic Rating, you can see the highest rated albums:
This is an interesting use case but I think it would end up being quite a bit of work for only a very specific audience.
If you are interested, you could do a search for that term just using our regular search and take a look at the tooltips for the albums (which show the rating). https://www.allmusic.com/search/albums/unplugged
I would be willing to bet our editors have only rated about 20 or 30 "Unplugged" albums at the most, so researching it this way would not be too time-consuming.
Hi @rootsmusic.
We always called these little hover boxes "Tooltips" and when researching the redesign we put in place over a year ago, we found that the vast majority of other sites have done away with this kind of pop-up on their sites.
Some users did like them, but others found them to be a nuisance when just moving their mouse cursor across the page. In addition, they were a bit of a technical headache to maintain (the widget that we were using to have the info pop in was no longer being supported). Also, hover-over tooltips also aren't able to be implemented in mobile (where the majority of our traffic is).
We opted to not implement them in October 2023, and wanted to wait for user feedback to see if anyone was using them. As it turns out, you are the second person in 13 months to comment on this deprecated feature.
