once a fantastic site has become unusable, Would have considered a membership if had any confidence the site was actively managed.

Once a fantastic site for music is now unusable, pages won't load, uncontrollable intrusive loud ads. Paid for a membership a couple years back, never saw much difference. Would pay the $12 for functionality if had any confidence the site was being actively managed. There are plenty of new rock albums not even listed or reviewed.

You're not wrong that the staff is smaller than it used to be and we don't have the bandwidth to cover as many albums as we used to.

We still review between 50-70 new releases each week, as well as writing biographies for new artists and updating information on older artists where possible.

Regarding the ads, as you mentioned there is a subscription model which removes the ads altogether and speeds up the site greatly.

In a perfect world we wouldn't have the need for as many ads as we have, but it is challenging to run an ad-supported website in this day and age.
