Rumor has it...
...Travis Scott released a new album on July 28. Anyone up for reviewing it? :)
Cheers!
To be honest, I really think AllMusic is (too often) dropping the ball on (major) hiphop releases. I understand you can't review everything, but I don't think a release such as this one in most any other genre would have taken this long. And certainly, popularity or relevance can't be the argument here? Is it just that (certain) hiphop artists aren't sending any materials over to be reviewed?
After 5 excellent records, I personally think it's the highest time to acknowledge the existence of Mick Jenkins (though AllMusic admittedly did make a bio already). His appropriately titled new album 'The Patience' came out on August 18. https://www.allmusic.com/album/the-patience-mw0004036734
Seems that a review for 'Weedkiller' has been uploaded: https://www.allmusic.com/album/weedkiller-mw0003942178
At a guess, I imagine a review for this is in the pipeline and will be available within the next few weeks. The editor who normally covers Róisín Murphy's releases has had one heck of a schedule to cover recently, with many of the big artist's they usually review releasing albums around the same time.
Please can your Afrobeats reviewers please review Elizy’s New album. “Road to Melodie’s” spent days on top albums Apple Music since it’s out for 14 days
You're right, very surprised at that one. AllMusic's editors are usually pretty quick to review her albums.
After acquiring his third studio album extension, spending seven consecutive days on world Albums: In Nigeria at the peak of 118… I think Elizy’s album needs a review. https://www.allmusic.com/album/road-to-melodies-mw0003922652
Our editors have limited bandwidth and cannot cover all of the thousands of albums that are released each week, even if they do hit 118 on the Nigerian album charts.
This artist has 80 monthly listeners on Spotify and 154 subscribers on YouTube.
The editors do not plan to review this record.
Thanks.
You dont have to sound this way, even if this artist has 80 listeners on spotify and 154 followers on youtube this wont define his talent and what he's got to pass to the world, why not find out about who he's and when he's been in the music industry, He has another Youtube page close 200k viewers, while he was under a management in the year 2019, and had a featuring with almost four top artist that brought him to the limelight, Elizy is a lagos birthed indegenous that is weigh in much talent, acting, comdey, singing and painting, his former management dupped him so much for three years before he realise and decided to be on his own as he has been doing it all alone since 2021. with his new label formed by himself called "ElizyMusicMade". please find out some genuine reason why the album shouldn't be reviewed i cant agree with this your reply, i know alot not up to his standard and dont even has his type of audience that does pay for this to be done, now let be sincere and be honest to appreciate talents and not until they die and then you will be able to do this never, good music deserves best, why not check out the artist than judging by what you see on a platfom as fanbase.
It's surprising your R&B writers didn't check the new Amaarae record out yet. It's fire, one of the best of the year and everyone else seems to love it. Can you review it?
Also gonna recommend your hip-hop reviewers check out the new McKinley Dixon album. Not many rap albums this year that are better than it. And it's a quick listen to boot:

Don't blame them - so much to keep up with. Have a soft spot for Air, though like many, it's the two 2020 albums I keep going back to the most.
Not only is this now reviewed but also one of the site's albums of the year!
Been following MIKE's releases since 2019's 'Tears of Joy' and have to agree with the general consensus on this one - it is possibly his best yet. Top stuff.
Now that it's out on all streaming services, is there any chance we can get a review of this new Earl album? It's p good, despite all the promotional trash that came with it.

The new Tinashe record seems to have flown under the radar, even though its possibly her best one yet. You guys loved her last one, so you should all check it out and review it!

Really enjoyed their debut album. Good to hear from the AllMusic team that this is just as good. Will have to check it out sometime.
