Is there any way to know how songs are selected for the “best of” lists? I am doing an analysis of lyrics in Christian music. One of the sources I have used to select songs for my lyric sample, is allmusic’s “the best worship songs of the 70s”. Would it just be the songs with the top 10 sales in the 70s, according to allmusic? Any help would be much appreciated!

That is not a list of '70s worship songs hand-selected by us at AllMusic.
That is a CD put out in 2003 by a record label called Maranatha Music.
