Cave In Discography
I recently enjoyed reading James Christopher Monger's review on Cave In's new record - Heavy Pendulum. AllMusic haven't always reviewed the band's records upon release, so it was a fantastic surprise to see one uploaded for it.
However, what was a bit of a letdown was the state of the band's discography. There are currently some errors with it - too many to enter in the 'Submit Corrections' form. I was hoping I could submit the list of corrections here instead. Here are the issues I have spotted:
- According to the band's websites, Beyond Hypothermia was not first released in 1999 but in "late winter"/February 1998. (source 1, source 2)
- There are currently two different entries for Planets of Old (entry 1, entry 2). One is in the 'albums' section and the other is in the 'Singles and EPs' section. As mentioned on their bandcamp, it is a four-track EP that was first released in 2010. (source)
- The band's wonderful EP, Tides of Tomorrow has a small, unrated review. It would be great if it could get a rating to go with it.
- According to the band's old website, The Sacrifice Poles was a collection/compilation of demos and tracks recorded during the 'Jupiter' album sessions. It was originally released as a limited edition CD in 2001 (source). Wouldn't that classify it as more of a compilation than an album? In either case, please can you correct the release date.
I'd appreciate it if you were willing to look into these and make changes where you believe they are meritied. You did a great job cleaing up Cult of Luna discography a while ago, though two different entries for their album Mariner remain (1 | 2 - please fix these too!). Hopefully you can work your magic again.
