AllMusic is being updated. Hold tight!

For the last few months I have lost all access to AllMusic. I am in New Zealand. So there is no reason we would be blocked. AllMusic is always being updated. I have a paid subscription. I have tried to contact AllMusic but I guess they don’t care. Never got an answer. So I am losing all faith in AllMusic. I guess I would like my subscription money back if they are going to block me. I tried to support you. You in turn don’t give a toss about me, Finally found this forum,

Btw Wireless Nation here in New Zealand is my ISP. They are a very popular and widely used ISP here. So my IP address is supplied by them.

My current public IP address is 43.249.196.159. Well for now at least. I don’t have a static ip address.

Hey Mark,

We took a look and your IP was in a range we were blocking (due to a huge number of bot requests from that range).
We've unblocked that IP range and are looking into better ways to block offenders without making other users suffer.

We'll update your subscription date and extend it out to make up for the couple months you lost access.

Thanks also for pointing out the issues with our Maintenance page.
We've made some changes so at least the Feedback link points to the right place.

That's wonderful news and yes I am in!! I was not worried about my subscription - only that I had access. Good stuff re the feedback links. Thanks Zac - really appreciated. I shall commemorate being back on AllMusic by going out and buying the new Built to Spill album. I see Tim Sendra gave it a great review. And what a great cover!

O

Seems that my IP address also got blocked. Recently my ISP changed my IP address, after which allmusic stopped working.

Please unblock my IP 93.171.128.9

Thanks for the response.

We have an active Twitter and Facebook presence, so in the future those are other options for contacting us.

RhythmOne sold us off several years ago so I am not surprised they didn't get back to you.

We're investigating your issue and hope to have some info on the topic shortly.

Hi Zac, yeah the maintenance link does not work. Ahh that explains it re Rhythm One. Thanks very much for looking into the issue. I have really missed having AllMusic.Yes I had eventually found your Facebook profile. That was how I found this forum. But the other links eg https://www.allmusic.com/faq - dont work when you are blocked.

BTW as an aside Zac I do have some problems using this forum. eg I wanted to add a post to Praise - but it shows the search bar. I did a search - but no button comes up to allow me to make a post in Praise - looked everywhere, tried clicking on everything. Making a post is not entirely obvious on this forum and for Praise seems to be a "no go".

The forum is helpful but admittedly kinda hard to use and non-intuitive in places.

If you go to this main page (not the AllMusic-specific forum): https://allmedianetwork.helprace.com/ and select "Praise" you should be able to add a comment.

Hi Mark,

Sorry you've contacted us multiple times without response.
Can you tell us how you've tried to get in touch with us?
This is the first time we've gotten your message.

We'll take a look at the issue and see if we can determine the problem.

Yes, I could not find contact details for AllMusic - especially as I have now no access to AllMusic now. So I contacted/emailed Rhythm One Group. No response from them. I still have no access to AllMusic btw.

AllMusic is being updated. Hold tight.

Thanks!

Btw with your website like this - there are a few links at the bottom. eg FAQ. But none of them do anything. So you have well and truly blocked me. So you leave no avenue for someone to contact you. Thiis has been an ongoing problem for me for a few months and so I have been trying to find a way to contact you. Eventually realised I could contact Rhythm One Group - but, yeah, no response from them. And then eventually I found this forum. So, I am angry, as I have relied on AllMusic for years!!! I am a music addict. HUGE collection of pristeen vinyl, tapes and cds. So AllMusic is an important resource for me.
