Editorial Group Request - The Top Albums of 2018 & 2019

At the end of 2019, AllMusic rolled-out a wonderful article that celebrated their favourite albums of the 2010s. To commemorate them, dozens of albums were updated to a full five-star rating. There was an exception; selected albums had to be at least two years old at the time of publication. With that in mind, I have two requests for the editoral team:

- It's been more than two years since that article was published. Would the editorial team consider revisiting those albums from 2018 & 2019 that were previously ineligible for a five-star rating and award it to those they feel still deserve one?

- Excluding the various artist compilations and video/DVD entries, popular music in the 2010s have been awarded more five-star ratings than those in the 2000s. This doesn't even account for potential additions from 2018 & 2019. If we look at the pop/rock genre for example, 2010-2017 has around 75-to-80 albums with a five-star rating, while 2000-2009 only has around 60 in total. I know the editors recently gave many albums from the 2000s their highest rating but given the comparative statistics would they consider awarding it to another large selection of albums from that decade?

Just to note; It was a nice touch from some of the editors to adjust other discography ratings when they granted albums five-star status two years ago, e.g. Beach House's 'Bloom' and '7' also getting rating changes when 'Teen Dream' was updated. If the editors decide to go ahead with the suggestions above, hopefully they'll continue to incorporate this idea when they update their choices.

Shame this didn't happen. It would have been exciting to see more recalculations and the reasoning behind it made some sense.

In the past, these kind of big re-calculations have been done in preparation for a large feature (like our Decade in Review), but I can pass along this request.

Much obliged.
