Missing Artist Credit - Perfect Harmony

Dear Friends. My name is Gregory Freelon. I was just talking with my musical collaborator, Heikki Sarmanto, about the Jazz Opera, Perfect Harmony, which we co-wrote. I see it on your website and my name is not listed here. I created the concept, wrote the libretto, and sequenced all of these movements to form the dramatic arc of the full piece.

Please respond to me as to why I am not credited here.

Thank you.

Sure thing. We'll ask for your credit to be added to that album.

Hello Gregory,

Our data provider receives thousands of new albums to input into the database each week and for many smaller and independent releases they simply don't have the bandwidth and staffing to enter all of the liner notes into the system. These albums get what is referred to as "Light Entry" so that the basic elements of the album title, track list and primary performer are listed. The thought is always to keep these albums on file and get back to them if there is a lull in workflow.

Thanks, Zac.

But this response really doesn't address the issue here. You are posting and selling my work without proper credit, notification, or recompense. The lull in your company's workflow is not a reasonable answer to this problem. I would have expected someone to let me know that this will be taken care of.

I did not expect to get the word salad response that you provided.

Please find a way to address this issue.

Thank you,

Greg
