I've been a paid subscriber since ad-free subscriptions launched a few years ago. Today I pulled up the site and it's suddenly full of ads. I respect that you need to bring in money to keep the site running but I subscribed specifically so I wouldn't have to see the ads. How can I make them go away again? And if it's not possible, I'd like a refund proportional to the remainder of my subscription term.
(I have a confirmation of subscription renewal as of Jan 28, 2024, so there's no reason it should've suddenly stopped working.)
I'm having the SAME problem...
I have SideReel "pinned", go to it today and all of a sudden I'm seeing Ads, and also keep getting a Popup asking me to Login, but I'm already logged in.
This is occurring EVEN though I've Logged Out, cleared all Cookies, restarted browser etc.
Also, I've checked My Account, under the "Subscription" section, and my Subscription is suddenly GONE.... So, that's WHY we are seeing Ads now.
I just "renewed" like a Month ago...
So, they are clearly having some sort of "Technical Issue". Their Database indicating subscriptions has went "by by".
That reminds me, I need to take "Screenshots" of all the shows I'm watching In case my Account ever get's lost.
Watching so many I'll never remember them all... It's the whole point I started using SideReel, needed to keep track of the shows and episodes watched.
Though, it would be impossible to also indicate the Episodes Watched, too many shows.
I wish they would create an "Export", which would export some type of EXCEL File listing every show and what Episodes have been watched, that way we sometimes could do a Backup and not be completely lost if anything happens.
Very sorry. Something is not working properly.
We're digging into it ASAP.
