Hi Elizabeth,
Can you please tell us what time zone your account is set to?

You can see it here:

I have it set to the Eastern time zone even though I am in the Pacific time zone. When I set it to the Pacific the times are 3 hrs off. It is like the Eastern and Pacific time zone settings are switched. here is a pic of my tracker on my screen.

I think we had a bug that was causing some shows to be off by an hour. We're looking into it now. Thanks.

In regards to the time zone thing, it is kind of a challenging thing to create unique time zones for everybody in the world, since in the United States, the different time zones may choose to air some shows at the same time (like award shows or sporting events) and other shows will be delayed to air in the same hour in Eastern and Central and Mountain and Pacific.

All of our show data is put into the system using Eastern Time Zone and then for users in England we add 5 hours and for users in California we subtract 3 hours. This unfortunately makes some shows display the right time and some shows display the wrong time for 3/4ths of our U.S. users but since we don't capture the actual airtime for each specific region for every individual show we are looking for ways to improve this.

Some more detail:

Broadcast network affiliates (ABC, NBC, CBS, etc) have the network programming either shifted/delayed from ET time (MT and PT delay the programming to air later) or airing live with ET (CT airs simultaneous as ET, but is really an hour earlier since 8 PM ET is 7 PM CT).  Example, an episode of The Blacklist on NBC airs at 8 PM ET and 8 PM PT (the PT airing is “delayed” to show at 8 PM PT).  The Blacklist airs at 7 PM CT (simultaneous to ET) and at 7 PM MT (2-hour delay from 8 PM ET).  As a general rule Primetime programing airs from 8 PM – 11 PM ET/PT, but from 7 PM – 10 PM CT/MT (and I can’t explain Arizona, who doesn’t observe DST, I’m not quite sure what-airs-when out there) .  Of course, actual live “events” (sporting events, Oscars, Grammys) generally air live in each time zone.  A live event at 8 PM ET, will be 7 CT, 6 MT and 5 PT.  But live newscasts don’t fall into that category.  The live NBC News with Lester Holt that airs at 6:30 PM ET on NBC affiliates, and will be adjusted and air in the local time zone, in the spot the Network news normally airs (6:30 PM ET, 5:30 PM CT, 5:30 PM MT, 6:30 PM PT).

Cable Channels (HGTV, TBS, HBO, etc) almost always have an East and a West feed of their channels.  The East feed is carried in the Eastern, Central and MT time zones.  Therefore, everything in the Central and MT times are showing 1 and 2-hours later than Eastern time.   The West feed is carried in Pacific time, but is on a delay (what’s airing at 8 PM ET will also appear at 8 PM PT).  For example, tonight’s airing of the movie “Godzilla” on TNT at 8 PM ET, will be at 7 PM CT and 6 PM MT.  Then the West coast will have it at 8 PM (vs the East and West will view at the same local times).  Generally the only exceptions are when live events occur.  When TNT carries NBA basketball or the NCAA tournament, that is airing live in all time zones.

There are exceptions for cable channels. Like, ESPN has just one feed and there is no localization.  What is airing at 12 PM ET is showing at 11 AM CT, 10 AM MT and 9 AM PT.  Since they are either carrying live sporting events or timely sports recap/highlight shows (SportsCenter), everything is carried in real time, no matter what time zone you are in.
