Tracker is Live

Much like when a new restaurant opens, lets consider this to be the "soft open" of logging in and using Tracker.

UPDATES FOR JUNE 15, 2020:

  • Fixed weird bugs around not being able to click the "Watch" icon.
  • Clicking Watch on "Next Unwatched Episode" should bring up the next episode.
  • Mobile should remember your preference for "Hide Watched Shows"
  • Updated date format for our non-American friends (sorry about that).
  • Fixing issue with uBlock Origin blocking the page (mostly a Chrome issue).
  • Interacting with Watch and Tracking functions after filtering and sorting should work now.
  • Fixed the 404 error when going to "Previous" pages.
  • Some improvements in the height/spacing of the Tracked Shows area.


Still tweaking:

  • Proper rules for what "Unwatched/Up-To-Date" shows/episodes should display.
  • Un-watching episodes if you accidentally click "Watch Full Season"Hiding duplicate episode listings.

The heavy lifting was in the user login and the Tracker/watch elements. We hope that the rest of these elements will come in faster.

We ported over all of the users who have logged in in the past three years, but we're keeping a record of even older users. If you try to log in and it doesn't work, please try resetting your password. If that still doesn't do it, there will be instructions on-screen to help access your account.

Even if you always logged in with your Username, there should be an email address associated with your account.

Then you should be able to log into the new SideReel using that email address.

Is there anyway the new tracker can be condensed so I can see it all on my screen?

It is so spaced out I can only see the 1st four shows of each day before having to scroll.

The old sidereel was much neater. See examples of both below. Thanks.

I have a recommendation. Previously if it is a season finale or premiere you used different colors are shapes to make it clear. Now its just written under the episode which isn't very clear. Could you help make it more clear?

Also if you can highlight the day on the track like you used to. Like today is Wednesday so you have a thicker border around Wednesday.

We have implemented this today.

The day of the week in Tracker calendar is highlighted and season premieres and finales are accented with a more visible color.

I think your clock may still be off.  It's 11:15pm eastern on Wednesday and the highlighted day appears to be Thursday.

The site is running off of UTC (coordinated universal time) which is 4 hours ahead of the Eastern Time Zone.

One of our upcoming projects is to connect each user's individually set time zone with the calendar functions.

That's totally reasonable.  At some point I thought you said it was on Eastern time.  Thanks so much.

FYI, the calendar is still showing the previous week on Sundays.  (ie it's Sunday, 7/5 and the calendar shows the week of 6/28. I would expect it to flip over somewhere around 12:01am sunday morning local time (or eastern time if the site is currently all in eastern time).)

It was Sunday evening (sometime between 9 and 11pm eastern).
