Weird UI Spacing Issue (Tracker Page)

Super not urgent, but I've noticed there's a bunch of weird gaps on the tracker page (at least with the ad free version of the site).  The gaps appear above and below the tracker calendar and seem to be class "stripe-container header-leaderboard".

I've also noticed that the narrowest version of the page (on desktop) no longer switches over to mobile mode so using the window very narrow (as I've been doing for years) is now rather frustrating.

it's fixed!! you're a wizard!!!!

Hey Sara,

We made a change on our back-end to make it so that our breakpoint (when the desktop site changes over to mobile) is now at 600px which should be within the limit of your browser.

Is it working now?

S

Ok so the page isn't zoomed. That said, I do have my browser-wide font setting to "small" (medium is default).  However, that setting applies to incognito as well (and reverting to medium doesn't seem to fix the problem).

when I say "skinniest possible" I mean I pull the window as narrow as it goes and the cursor becomes the thing that says it can only go wider.  I've just tried it on firefox and chrome incognito and they both seem to be working? gonna try dumping cookies...

dumped cookies and re-logged in and it didn't fix the problem.  I have no idea how to replicate this problem since both incognito and firefox seem to not have it.  other than dumping cookies I don't know how to "reset" the browser's version of the site.  (my ad blocker is disabled on the site and also that shouldn't matter since I pay for ad free. nothing else should be impacting layout.)

safari seems to have the same issue but it may just not get narrow enough (the minimum window width on safari appears to be a bit wider than chrome's).

Thanks for the detail.
We're investigating it now.

Are you using Zoom at all to make the text on your screen smaller?

Can you go to the View dropdown and select "Actual Size?"

S

It used to be that when I reduced the width of the page I got mobile view.  A few weeks ago that changed.  Below is a screenshot of what I now see in "skinniest possible" mode (in Chrome for Mac).  (If you scroll down the page continues in desktop, not mobile, mode.)

Wild.
So you can't make the window smaller than that in Chrome?

Can you reduce the size in a different browser?
Or if you visit SideReel in an Incognito mode?

When you say "skinniest possible" mode (in Chrome for Mac), is that a setting or a plug-in you are using to enable this view?
Are you clicking the "+" icon to make it this size? Or toggling the green and yellow buttons in Chrome?
Once it is small, can you drag the side of the browser to be even smaller?

Chrome should have a minimum width of 500px and our mobile view engages at 568px so if you can get the browser window smaller than 567px it should give you the view you're looking for.

Hi Sara.

We'll take a look at eliminating the blank spaces for subscribed ad-free users (and thanks for supporting SideReel).

Are you not able to see the "mobile" version of the site if you reduce the width of your browser screen?
